As we wrap up our current 5 week program session today and schools enter into fall break, we’re thrilled with how this current program block went. We worked with over 650 students per week and they collectively pedaled more than 3,900 miles during the duration of the program.

Somebody asked if “we had a single most favorite memory from this session?” We’ve got a lot of favorite memories:
- the students who had never ridden a bike before that got confidence
- the students who normally don’t enjoy participating in physical education class who excelled in our programs
- the students who said they couldn’t do something and then realized they could
- students with special needs that were able to ride with their classmates and see success
- the students that came to us and told us all about the bike riding they did outside after seeing us the week before
- the students that accepted our challenge to dig deep and excelled
None of this would have been possible without the support of the Indiana Air Guard, Franciscan St. Francis Hospital, Major Hospital, the LIDS Foundation and our many other supporting partners like Finish Line Youth Foundation, Bicycle Garage Indy, BGI Fitness and many more.
