Our Mission

Nine13sports conducts engaging, youth-focused bicycle programs for K–12 students. Participants in our programs achieve individual growth by improving their health and wellness, practicing teamwork, demonstrating mutual respect for classmates, learning safe riding skills, and engaging in hands-on activities that teach science, technology, engineering, and math (STEM) principles.

Position Summary

Nine13 Inc. is seeking a motivated individual to support a new division launching in late 2026 focused on building and maintaining bicycle trails and urban cycling infrastructure throughout Central Indiana. This role includes operating and maintaining heavy equipment such as skid steers and mini excavators, transporting equipment across project sites, and assisting with construction, project management, volunteer coordination, and facility maintenance. A Class A CDL is preferred, though candidates willing to obtain one are encouraged to apply. The ideal candidate is passionate about cycling infrastructure, works independently, and is eager to support multiple areas within the Nine13 Inc. portfolio.

Key Responsibilities

  • Build and maintain bicycle trails and cycling infrastructure, primarily in urban environments
  • Transportation of all heavy equipment utilized on project sites
  • Operate heavy equipment including skid steers, mini excavators, and various related attachments
  • Assist with project planning, construction coordination, and site management
  • Perform facility, equipment, and vehicle maintenance
  • Coordinate and manage volunteers during projects and events
  • Provide on-site and event support for Nine13sports programming as needed

 

Required Skills

  • High School Diploma or equivalent
  • Class A Commercial Driver’s License (or willingness to acquire one)
  • Trail building & construction experience
  • Must be able to work independently and self-manage work priorities
  • Task oriented with the ability to multitask and take initiative
  • Strong work ethic and attention to detail
  • Effective communication and organizational skills
  • Understanding of Microsoft Office and ability to manage Outlook calendars
  • Ability to pass a background check
  • Valid driver’s license

 

Additional Preferred Skills
· Multilingual
· CPR and First Aid certified

Physical Requirements
· Ability to stand for long periods of time
· Ability to regularly lift 50 pounds
