These students are determined to find success while participating in Kids Riding Bikes!

For the first time in the short, yet sizable history of Nine13sports, we delivered our Kids Riding Bikes programming in Hendricks County! Brownsburg East/West Middle Schools are the initial schools to have our nationally-recognized cycling program brought to them and integrated into their physical education curriculum. Additionally, as a part of our partnership with Hendricks Regional Health, each middle school student will receive a bag filled with educational information on health and wellness, services that Hendricks Regional Health offers, along with many other educational resources for them to take home to their parents or guardians to utilize.

After wrapping up our second week of programming last week, we’re esteemed to see the overall progression and response to our programming from the students. During the Thursdays & Fridays that we are on site at the East and West Middle School throughout the week, we see on average between 200 – 225 students per day. These students are incredibly well-behaved, focused, and driven to improve not only in terms of their overall health and well-being, but as individuals as well. Moreover, the teachers that we work with at Brownsburg are genuinely enthused to see us and are appreciative of the impact we’re making on their students and how they progressively respond to our programming.

Thank you to our amazing partner, Hendricks Regional Health, for all that you do!

The chance for us to make a positive, authentic, and lasting influence on these students is directly attributed to the leadership, passion for youth fitness, and community engagement of our amazing partner Hendricks Regional Health. We’re eagerly anticipating the rest of our time at BCSC and the rest of the schools we’ll be at in Hendricks County in 2016!
