We’re wrapping up our first week of Kids Riding Bikes® programming in the Plainfield Community School Corporation today and what a productive and exciting week it has been. We’ve had the chance to get upwards of 550 youth moving and engaged during our unique and innovative bicycling program.

In addition to getting the youth of Van Buren Elementary School moving on two wheels, our staff worked with them to recognize the importance of teamwork, resiliency, bicycle safety, and having a positive and uplifting attitude. Moreover, many of the students expressed they utilized our favorite form of transportation regularly, if not daily, and that bicycle riding was fun and exciting.

Although this is our first time serving Plainfield Schools, it’s not our first time in Hendricks County. We’ve previously delivered our Kids Riding Bikes programming to the Avon and Brownsburg school districts in late 2015 and early 2016. We’ll be back serving Plainfield Schools in two weeks at Brentwood Elementary School. Our presence in Hendricks County is directly attributed to our partnership with Hendricks Regional Health and their unwavering commitment to making a lasting and positive impact on the community that they serve.

If you happened to miss it we announced that our partnership with HRH is extending in 2017 to serve even more schools and students. Here’s the press release from yesterday for more features and details on our partnership and how HRH is playing a fundamental role in our continued growth and development.
