Indianapolis, IN – May 29, 2019 – Indianapolis-based Nine13sports has announced a continued programming partnership with the Indianapolis Parks Foundation for the summer and fall of 2019. Throughout the summer and fall Nine13sports will conduct all 3 of their programs in a variety of Indy Parks locations across the city. This partnership kicked off with Kids Riding Bikes programming at the brand-new Tarkington Park Fest this past Saturday June 1st and will continue throughout the summer.
“Continuing to build on this relationship is huge for us,” said Nine13sports CEO Tom Hanley. “The Indianapolis Parks Foundation continues to be the only funding partner that values activating all three lines of our programming. Our organizations are both focused on the same things: making our community a better place to live while giving kids and their families the opportunity to get healthier and engage with the community and neighborhoods around them. We are so looking forward to continuing that mission with the Indianapolis Parks Foundation.”
Nine13sports will brought the Kids Riding Bikes program to Tarkington Park Fest 2019 Saturday, June 1st and the organization will also bring the program to Pack the Parks on June 29th at Sahm Park located at 6801 E 91st St. These activations are an opportunity for the community at large to get a look at the programming that is taking place in physical education classes across central Indiana.
Also, starting during the month of June the Kids Building Bikes program will be conducted at Tarkington Park and continue into the month of July when 30 students will graduate with their very own brand new bicycle, helmet, along with the skills to maintain and ride their new bikes responsibly for years to come. Throughout the summer Nine13sports will also be conducting ExploreIndy rides across the city from various Indy Parks locations. These rides will allow kids and their families the opportunity to explore and experience the ever-growing bicycling infrastructure throughout the city.
“This partnership continues to be an ideal fit for the Foundation in so many ways,” said Indianapolis Parks Foundation President Lori Hazlett. “I think the part of this we are most excited about is the opportunity to get the whole family involved with these activations in Indy Parks. Nine13sports does such a wonderful job of providing a variety of bicycle programming that both kids and their families can enjoy together.”
