Indianapolis, IN – June 13, 2017 – Indianapolis-based  Nine13sports  has announced a programming partnership with Indy Parks & Recreation for the summer of 2017. This marks the first partnership between the two organizations, and the first major expansion of Kids Riding Bikes summer programming since the growing Central Indiana nonprofit began working with the Boys and Girls Clubs of Indianapolis in 2012.

“We are extremely excited to be able to get this partnership off the ground,” said Nine13sports CEO Tom Hanley. “We are incredibly  fortunate to have a number of community-driven and steadfast partners and Indy Parks & Recreation will fit right in as a natural addition. To have the chance to partner with another organization committed to getting kids active and making our community better really is a perfect match.”

This partnership will include Kids Riding Bikes programming at four Indy Parks & Recreation locations with hundreds of individual youth being served. It will also include one community event with over 100 additional youth being served on that day alone.

“Having Nine13sports bring their renowned Kids Riding Bikes program to us is a tremendous opportunity for the kids we work with,” said Indy Parks & Recreation Director Linda Broadfoot.  “Nine13sports has such a unique way of engaging with youth , and that is going to make them such a great addition to our summer programs. We are very much looking forward to growing this partnership as we move forward.”

Programming is slated to begin on June 26th of this year at the Christian Park Family Center and run through the end of July. For more detailed information contact the Indy Parks & Recreation office at 317-327-PARK (7275) or via email at indyparksCS@indy.gov.
