Relationship with Nine13sports:

Our corporate partnership with Hendricks Regional Health was finalized in late October of 2015. Once the partnership was announced, Kids Riding Bikes® hit the ground running (or should we say biking) in the early months of 2016 at schools in Brownsburg and Avon. In January, we delivered our programming in a Hendricks Country school for the first time at East/West Middle Schools and Ronald Reagan Elementary School in Brownsburg. Over 2,000 middle schools students participated in our programming during our time in Brownsburg, as well as upwards of 100 elementary students.

After our programming concluded in Brownsburg, we moved 10 minutes down the road to the Town of Avon to work with their students! In April, our staff brought our nationally-recognized programming to students at Avon Middle School North. Close to 450 youth engaged on our bicycle simulators and recognized the countless benefits that living a healthy lifestyle can bestow on them. In addition to getting the youth moving and active on two wheels in Brownsburg and Avon, each student received a bag filled with educational information on health and wellness, services that Hendricks Regional Health offers, along with many other educational resources for them to take home to their parents or guardians to utilize.

Brownsburg Pic 4

We’ve seen plenty of smiles like these this year in Hendricks County thanks to Hendricks Regional Health!

Additionally, our programming has also been a staple at community events throughout Hendricks County in 2016. We’ve served the community in Brownsburg at West Middle School for their Family Fit Night; in Danville at the Hendricks County 4-H Fair; and, in Avon at their National Night Out Against Crime. Furthermore, we’ll be out in Danville on Saturday, October 29th getting the community moving on our bikes at the Hendricks Regional Health Hallowellness. This free event for the whole family includes freaky fun interactive booths, spooky games and information to live a healthy, happy life.

Tour de Hendricks

It was awesome to have the Tour de Hendricks event at the Hendricks County Fair built around Kids Riding Bikes!

We’re excited to get more Kids Riding Bikes in Hendricks County as we’ll be delivering our programming this fall to schools in Plainfield and Danville. Our expansion into Hendricks County in 2016 and the opportunity to foster a positive, authentic, and lasting influence on thousands of students is a direct result of the leadership and passion of our friends at Hendricks Regional Health. Specifically, we want to recognize Adam Scott, Community Relations Manager at HRH, for your diligence in creating this partnership. Thank you for all the you’ve done to grow Kids Riding Bikes in Central Indiana and we look forward to what the future has in store for us!
