Nine13sports is thrilled to announce that our Founder and CEO, Tom Hanley, was the recipient of the Best and Brightest Award in the Education & Nonprofit Division at last night’s Junior Achievement of Central Indiana’s annual Best and Brightest event. Indy’s Best and Brightest event was created by Junior Achievement to recognize up and coming talent and the next generation of leaders in our community. The event honors 100 of Central Indiana’s most outstanding professionals, age 40 and under, in 10 different industries.
After being a finalist last year in the Education & Nonprofit Division, Hanley was recognized for his tireless and diligent work that he’s carried out over the past four years as the face of the growing and thriving nonprofit organization. “I’m incredibly honored, humbled, and proud to be the Best and Brightest award recipient in the Education & Nonprofit Industry,” said Hanley. “The countless hours of work of not only myself, but of my staff, has made notable awards such as this achievable. I share this honor and recognition with them and congratulate my fellow nominees on a job well done.”
Since launching Nine13sports in 2012, the youth health and fitness nonprofit has grown substantially both locally and nationally. After delivering 7,500 youth interactions across Central Indiana in 2012, Nine13sports is anticipating that number to quadruple this year with upwards of 30,000 youth interactions. Further, Nine13sports expanded into Portland in May of 2015 and will begin operations in Minneapolis in January of 2017.
