Kids Riding Bikes® returned to Merle Sidener Gifted Academy, the first Indianapolis Public Schools (IPS) that we served back in the fall of 2012, on Tuesday of last week. The return undoubtedly prompted emotion and nostalgia among our staff as they reminisced about the early days of Nine13sports. We’ve delivered our programming to a countless number of IPS schools following the first Kids Riding Bikes at Sidener in 2012. Needless to say, we’re deep in gratitude to IPS for their help and support of our growth and development over the years. Without a doubt, we wouldn’t be here without the leadership and vision of the administrators and teachers of the largest school district in Indiana.

It’s not just about #KidsRidingBikes, it’s taking opportunity to engage students with technology.
The past two weeks of Kids Riding Bikes at Sidener have been a blast for our staff and interns. We’re working with their 2nd, 3rd, 4th, 5th, and 6th grade classes during our time at the school. The kids have been incredibly well-behaved, genuinely engrossed in our programming, and have put forth their best effort while on our bikes. Moreover, several of the kids have been fascinated with the technology behind our program and that’s always something that our staff loves to see.
We’ve two weeks left at Sidener and we’re eager to witness the pure joy and admiration that overcomes the kids as they ride our bikes. Nothing is better for our staff than seeing students find success on two wheels.
